Organizing a large number of files is tedious work, especially if you want to sort them by size, extension or other criteria. Automating this task can save you precious time, but Windows does not provide this feature. File Juggler can move, copy or perform other actions on your files, according to your own rules. While monitoring one or more folders, the software can execute various actions if it detects a file that matches your rules.

File Juggler's trial version is fully functional, so you can use it without any restrictions, until it expires. The installation file is roughly one MB and the setup wizard will guide you through a few basic settings, like selecting a destination folder and creating a desktop shortcut. Additionally, you may choose to send a few statistics to the developers, if you want to help with the application's improvement.

The software provides a tabbed interface, on which you can activate or deactivate different rules, define new ones or view the created logs. The created rules are listed with separate options, for editing or deleting and you can activate them by clicking their check boxes. Rules are created with "If" and "Then" parameters. Besides typing a description and targeting one or more folders, you must select various conditions and actions, in different drop menus, and specify certain values.

Depending on the selected condition or action, different options will be made available. The software can be triggered by files that are larger or smaller than a given value, if their names are identical or not to a specific string or if their names contain that string. You can make numerous combinations and create a large variety of "If - Then" statements. File Juggler can execute an action when one or more conditions are met, but you can also set it to execute only if all the conditions are met. You can choose from a variety of actions, like copying, moving or renaming files, sorting them in a different folder and more.

File Juggler allows you to create and activate any number or rules. If you activate at least one rule, you can minimize the interface to the system tray and let the software work in the background.

Pros

File Juggler has many uses. It is very flexible when it comes to creating rules. The software can organize your files, while working in the background and you can choose which rules to apply. You may create rules to organize existing files and keep them active, to prevent cluttering your files in the future.

Cons

You can not select a destination folder, if you set the program to extract compressed files. Thanks to File Juggler's smart features, you can focus on your important tasks and let the software organize all your files for you.
